6-Year-Old From Bonne Terre Injured in Traffic Accident

(St. Louis, MO) A 6 year old boy from Bonne Terre was injured in a traffic accident on I-55 in St. Louis Thursday afternoon.  The accident occured when the vehicle the child was in tried to avoid another vehicle merging into their lane but could not due to traffic around the vehicle.  The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a roadsign.  The child's injuries were minor and he was transported by the Mehlville Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital South.
