Chamber Speakers Talk Parkland Education

(Farmington, MO) Education in the Parkland is on the minds of those who attended Thursday's Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce investor luncheon. 3 area educators spoke to the crowd starting with the Director of the UniTec Career Center, Jeff Cauley, who told the crowd there are many opportunities for students at UniTec.

The Director of Farmington High School's Business Incubator program, Christy Pierce, informed the crowd this was the first program of its kind for Missouri and her students came up with 3 different business startups that are running and making money.

The President of Mineral Area College, Dr. Joe GIlgour, said to those in attendance this year the state budget will provide the college with more funding than ever before.

The new Parks and Recreation Director for Farmington Doug Stotler, was also introduced at Thursdays Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce meeting.
