UPDATED: Fire Departments Respond to Fire at Chaumette Vineyard and Winery

(Ste. Genevieve, MO) 

UPDATED STORY: No injuries are being reported but a building is destroyed at Chaumette Vineyards and Winery after a blaze Thursday evening brought out firefighters from Ste. Genevieve and St. Francois Counties. Officials with Chaumette posted on social media the building housed the offices and operations for the business but thankfully no one was hurt. All other aspects of the business will remain open as scheduled since they were unaffected. Firemen were called to Chaumette just after 7 pm Thursday evening. The winery is located on Highway WW in Ste. Genevieve County.

ORIGINAL STORY: KFMO/B104 has confirmed reports that a fire has broken out at the address of Chaumette Vinyard and Winery and that local fire departments have been dispatched.  The fire is said to be a structural fire, however it is not the main restaurant building, where the video below was shot from.  It is said to be a building that is used to make wine that has caught fire.  No injuries are being reported at this time.  Keep tuned to KFMO/B104 for more news as it becomes available.
