Community Mourns Loss of Boy Killed By Bus

(Jefferson County, MO) Community members are mourning the loss of 6 year old Damon Rice, the first grader who was hit and killed by a school bus in Jefferson County Tuesday afternoon. Scores of people attended a vigil Wednesday night outside Plattin Primary School to remember the boy. The state patrol says Rice walked in front of the bus after being dropped off near the intersection of Oakland Hill Drive and Oakland Manor, a few miles south of Festus. Grief Counseling has been made available to students and staff in the Jefferson R-7 School District.
