Couple is Charged with Child Endangerment

(St. Francois County, MO) A man from Ironton, 36 year old Brandon Lee Lamacchia, and a woman from Thayer, 28 year old Cassandra Leann, are facing a felony charge of endangering the welfare of a child and a misdemeanor charge of animal abuse after an incident in May. According to reports investigators with the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department received information concerning two children reportedly walking down the street naked. The children were 3 and 4 years old and reportedly had blood and feces on them and their heads had been shaved. Investigators found the children's home and encountered trash and toys in the front yard. More trash, including dirty diapers and decomposing food was found in throughout the house. A dog crate containing two puppies was also reportedly found. The dogs were covered in excrement and were padlocked in the crate. Lamacchia and Leann were found asleep in a bedroom.
