Desloge Officials Apply for COPS Grant

(Desloge, MO.) Desloge officials will be applying for a COPS grant for hiring another officer after last night's Desloge Board of Aldermen meeting. The City Administrator of Desloge, Dan Bryan, says the grant pays for 75% of an officer's salary over a three year period.

Bryan explains after the three year period is over the total officer's salary would be the responsibility of Desloge. In other business Court Amnesty Week was announced it will be held March 16th through the 20th and it's designed for people who have outstanding warrants with Desloge. By paying a hundred dollars to the city and giving a proper address for contact, a person can  get caught up and clean away the warrant. Two Desloge officers, Jon'Eric Bradford and Stephanie Memhardt. They revived a man who had overdosed prior to paramedics arrival. Also at the meeting Desloge Aldermen changed the date of their March meeting to Monday, the 16th.
