Farmington Man Arrested for Child Pornography

(Farmington, MO.) Another area man is in custody and facing sexual charges connected to child pornography. 46 year old Michael Blaies, of Farmington, was arrested Monday after an investigation was conducted by members of the Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit. The Patrol was assisted by the Missouri Digital Forensic Center. When investigator's executed a search warrant at Blaies's residence on John David Drive in Farmington, they seized child pornography as well as computer equipment. Prosecutor Melissa Gilliam, of the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney's Office,  filed three charges of possession of child pornography against Blaies. His bond was set at $100,000. Blaies is set for his initial court appearance today in St. Francois County Court.
