First State Community Bank Buys Branches

(Farmington, MO.) First State Community Bank will be buying seven Missouri based branches of First Bank. A press release from First State Community Bank's Chairman and CEO, Greg Allen, says the branches are in Dutzow, Gerald, Hermann, Owensville, Ste. Genevieve, Warrenton, and Washington Missouri. Allen adds the First State Community Bank team is excited about this opportunity for consumers. First Bank Chairman and CEO, Shelley Siefert says the sale is being made to help First Bank focus on their branch network on markets where they have the best opportunity to align their investments with the company's strategy and grow. First Bank has 94 branches in California, Missouri, and Illinois. They are based in Creve Coeur with more than $6 billion in assets. Once the sale is complete First State Community Bank will have 59 locations across the State of Missouri. The acquisition is subject to the approval of federal and state regulatory bodies and it is expected to close in the third quarter of 2020.
