Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - The Potosi Fire Protection District responded to a residential first-alarm fire around 1:30 a.m. Monday.
According to the district, the first arriving unit reported smoke showing upon arrival, deployed one hose line, and began attacking the fire. Due to the fire’s intensity and bitterly cold conditions, the incident was upgraded to a general alarm house fire to bring in additional manpower and equipment. Firefighters worked in sub-zero degree temperatures as crews from multiple departments assisted at the scene.
The fire was brought under control at approximately 4:38 a.m. No injuries were reported.
