Iron County Man Wanted for Murder

(Ironton, Mo) - An armed and dangerous man is wanted in Iron County, KFMO / B104 News has confirmed.  Iron County Sheriff's Office says  McCoy Tristain Kelley is wanted on an arrest warrant for first-degree murder and armed criminal action. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said he should be considered armed and dangerous due to interactions this man has had with officers.

According to the sheriff’s office, they were dispatched to a home in Vulcan shortly after 1 am on Tuesday for a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found 30-year-old William “Billy” Shy dead. Witnesses reported to police that Shy was shot by Kelley when he opened the door.

An autopsy with the Iron County Coroner has been scheduled. The highway patrol and Iron County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
