Jefferson County Burglary Suspects Captured

(Jefferson County, MO.) Three people from St. Louis are facing felony charges of 2nd degree burglary and stealing $750 or more after being arrested Sunday morning. A press release from Jefferson County Sheriff, Dave Marshak, says the burglary case allegedly involved gunfire Sunday near House Springs. Rock Simms, 36, Arnando Story, 34, and Summer Raymer, 41, were taken into custody outside a gas station in High Ridge. The arrests happened minutes after a report of a nearby burglary in the 3700 block of West
Four Ridge Road. Witnesses and evidence confirmed the suspects were in the area around 9:00 AM, the time of the burglary.

As the suspect vehicle left the West Four Ridge location, a man in the neighborhood fired multiple shots, hitting the car at least three times.  Investigators immediately recognized all three suspects as having been arrested in a burglary and shots fired case Saturday at the same address involving the same man. They were released Sunday morning pending application of warrants. The man stated he was watching his neighbor’s abandoned property when he was alerted to trespassers around 5:40 PM Saturday. He says he confronted two suspects, Simms and Story, on the property and believes one of them fired a shot at him. At that time, the man says he returned to his home and grabbed a gun. He says a short time later he located Simms and fired shots, claiming he feared for his life. Simms ran into nearby woods and was located and arrested by Deputies after a search. Story and Raymer were located in a vehicle in the 4000 block of West Four Ridge. Simms, Story and Raymer are being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
