June Contested Elections City Races and Proposals

(St. Francois County, MO.) 

There are several contested races in the city of Bismarck in April's municipal elections. In Ward 1 incumbent Ryan Wallis will go against challenger Eugenia Stelzer. In ward 2 Lochie Counts, who was appointed to the board in September, will run against Dustin Garling.
In Desloge voters will decide between Alvin Sutton and Patty Cagle for the position of Alderman of Ward 3.
Farmington voters will vote on five different council seats yet none are contested. There are two issues on the ballot for Farmington. They include asking residents to approve two different quarter cent sales taxes. One would be for transportation purposes while the other would be used for providing funding for storm water control and local parks in Farmington. The tax wouldn't go into effect until October 1st 2022 when the current tax expires.
Iron Mountain Lake Voters will see three candidates for mayor. They include Charles Wiles, Matthew Shane French, and Chad Bailey. In Ward 2 Anthony Gray and Allen Grafton are running. Two candidates are running for a two year term in ward 3 including incumbent Jody Montgomery and David D. Manning. Voters in Iron Mountain Lake will also decide whether or not the town's obligation bonds should be in the amount of $500,000 for the purpose of constructing, extending, repairing, and improving streets, roads, and bridges in the city.
In the city of Leadington Cassie Schrum and Debbie Matthews have filed for an aldermanic seat. A third alderman position is open.
Leadwood voters will have to decide between Ward 2 alderman Bill Resinger and Randall Howard.
Park Hills contested races include in Ward 2 incumbent David Easter and Stacey Easter and in Ward 4 incumbent Steve Weinhold and Ginger Pizarro. Park HIlls voters will also decide the fate of a local use tax that would apply 2.75% sales tax to internet out of state vendor purchases of $2000.  KFMO B104 News will have election night coverage on AM 1240.
