Law Enforcement Catches Motorcyclist

(St. FRancois County, MO.) A man from St. Louis is in the custody of St. Francois County authorities after leading police on a high speed motorcycle chase that began in the area of Highways Y and 67, a little before 5 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon. Reports indicate the man didn't pull over when a deputy initiated a traffic stop. The pursuit led officers southbound on Highway 67. It's reported the motorcyclist stopped in Bonne Terre but then drove away from deputies. The chase continued south on 67, with multiple departments in pursuit, and the bike weaving in and out of traffic nearly crashing into patrol cars. The motorcycle apparently ran out of gas south of Farmington and the man, who is 34 years old, was arrested. He was taken to the St. Francois County jail. Multiple charges are expected to be filed against the him. He was also allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine. No injuries were reported from the incident.
