Leadwood, Mo. (KFMO) - Construction continues on a new water tower for the City of Leadwood, with officials saying the structure should be fully standing within the next week.
The project is part of ongoing improvements to the city’s water infrastructure. Mayor Chuck White says significant progress has already been made, including the removal of lead from the system, helping ensure safer drinking water for residents.
City leaders say the work is not stopping with the tower. The next phase of the project includes construction of a new water treatment building, which is expected to begin in June.
Once completed, the upgrades are expected to improve water quality, reliability, and overall service for the community.
