Missouri Legislative Session Over

(Jefferson City, MO.) Even though Missouri legislators were out of session for 6 weeks, due to efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus, they still managed to tackle the state's budget, approve putting a part of the Clean Missouri Act to a vote of the people, and passed other important pieces of legislation. The session ended at 6 o'clock Friday evening. State Representative, Dale Wright, tells KFMO B104 News the budget, which looked to be in trouble early on, turned out to be a little over $35 billion dollars with the general revenue fund at a little over $10 billion. The general fund falls under the legislature's control and is usually about 11 billion. Wright also says two land conveyance bills, one sponsored by himself and the other by State Representative Mike Henderson, gained the approval of legislators. Henderson's bill deals with land in the Farmington Industrial Park. Wright explains his would transfer 3 properties in Ste. Genevieve to the National Park Service. Tune in to the KFMO Morning Drive Radio Show Monday morning as we talk with State Representatives Dale Wright and Chris Dinkins.
