Parkland Thursday Thunderstorm Report

(St. Francois County, MO) Mostly minor damage is being reported in the Parkland after thunderstorms moved through the area Thursday afternoon bringing about a third to three quarters of an inch of precipitation to St. Francois and surrounding counties. Several trees were blown over in St. Francois County while a large portion of the city of Farmington experienced a power outage during the storms. A gas station was reportedly damaged by high winds in Perry County near the Chester Bridge when a large roof over several gas pumps was blown over. An EF0 tornado was reported around Kirkwood in the St. Louis area with mostly tree damage occurring while Interstate 55 had to be shut down for a while over flash flooding.
