St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Motorists traveling on Route N in Iron and St. Francois counties will encounter lane restrictions next week as the Missouri Department of Transportation completes pavement repair work.
According to MoDOT, Route N will be reduced to one lane and will have a 12-foot width restriction between Route 21 and Route 32 in Bismarck. The temporary traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews to safely perform pavement repairs along the roadway.
Weather permitting, the work is scheduled to take place Monday, June 8, 2026 through Thursday, June 11. Crews will be working daily from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Drivers traveling through the area should expect minor delays and are encouraged to slow down and remain alert while crews are working near the roadway.
MoDOT officials say the work zone will be clearly marked with signs and remind motorists to use extreme caution when approaching and traveling through the construction area.
