St. Francois County Commission Reopening Bids for Metal Roof Project

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Commission has rejected a bid for a metal roof at the county's Weber Road facility and are now reopening the bidding process.

County Clerk Kevin Engler says the first bid was rejected as it went way over the county's estimated cost.

Associate Commissioner Kary Buckley asked if the commission should also open bids for a shingle roof. Engler suggested that they go ahead to have something to compare to the metal roof in terms of cost.

The roof bidding process is part of ongoing renovations at the Weber Road facility.
