St. Francois County Commission Updates Sunshine Law Request Policy

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Commission has updated its Sunshine Law policy to make it adequate and in-line with correct standards.

County Clerk Kevin Engler says the main problem with the current policy is the requirement to fill out a form introduced by the previous county clerk.

Engler said the county is the keeper of records, and said that all departments should report to the clerk's office upon receiving a request to remain in compliance with the law.

The commission then made and passed a motion to adopt a resolution to update the Sunshine Law procedure.
