St. Francois County Fatal Wreck

(St. Francois County, MO) A 17 year old from Leadwood, Kaitlynn Newhouse, and a man from Park Hills, 57 year old Damian A. Nino, are dead after a traffic accident in St. Francois County Saturday morning. Highway Patrol reports show the wreck took place at 9:45 as an SUV, driven by 43 year old Eric McCarty of Fenton, was going east in the westbound lane of Highway 8, East of Dayne Lane. The front of McCarty's SUV crashed into the front of Newhouse's car. Nino, who was a passenger in McCarty's SUV, and Newhosue were pronounced dead on the scene. McCarty was seriously injured and was flown to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. McCarty and Nino were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident, the report states Newhouse was not wearing hers.
