St. Francois County Undergoes Annual Independent Audit

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - St. Francois County Auditor Louie Seiberlich confirms that an independent audit of county finances is currently in progress. The process, which started in January, is scheduled for completion by the end of April.

Seiberlich emphasizes that annual audits are standard procedure to ensure transparency and accountability within county government. 

He also notes that in the past six years, the audits have come back with no findings, indicating that both his office and other county offices are managing public funds appropriately and following proper procedures.

The audit will examine financial records, internal controls, and other aspects of county operations. Residents can expect a full report once the audit concludes, maintaining the county’s commitment to financial integrity.
