State Carrying Out Johnson Execution

(Bonne Terre, MO) Missouri Governor Mike Parson is confirming the state will carry out the execution of 45 year old convicted child murderer Johnny Johnson. Johnson kidnapped six year old Casey Williamson in 2002. She would have turned 28 this November. Johnson is convicted of brutally murdering Williamson at an abandoned factory. She defended herself against Johnson as he tried to rape her. She courageously fought for her life while Johnson repeatedly struck her head with a brick until finally crushing her skull with a basketball sized boulder. Courts found that Johnson was competent at the time, and is competent now. The Missouri Supreme Court determined, and a federal appeals court agreed, Johnson's execution could proceed. Johnson is scheduled for lethal injection today at the state prison at Bonne Terre.
