Three People Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on US 61 in Ste. Genevieve

St. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Three people were taken to area hospitals Thursday afternoon following a crash on U.S. Highway 61 at Village Drive in Ste. Genevieve.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:25 p.m. when a northbound 2021 Ford F-150 attempted to make a left turn onto Village Drive and was struck by a southbound 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The front driver’s side of the Equinox collided with the front passenger side of the pickup. The driver of the Equinox, a 35-year-old man from Ste. Genevieve, and a 33-year-old female passenger, also from Ste. Genevieve, both sustained moderate injuries. Neither was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. The man was transported by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Jefferson, while the woman was taken to Mercy South. The driver of the Ford, a 50-year-old woman from Ste. Genevieve, was wearing a seatbelt and also suffered moderate injuries. She was transported to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
