Two Pedestrians In Accidents One Fatal

(Madison County, MO.) One pedestrian is recovering and one was killed in two separate accidents in the area over the weekend. Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show a man from Bismarck, 25 year old Jacob T. Kirkpatrick, is dead after he was struck on Highway OO, about 3 miles north of Fredericktown, by an S.U.V. driven south by 45 year old Glen A. Mohan, of Farmington. Troopers say Kirkpatrick was laying in the roadway when he was hit. That accident took place Just after 4:30 Sunday Morning. Mohan was not injured. 
In the second accident 29 year old Jeremy C. Lukefahr, of Ste. Genevieve, was seriously injured when he was struck by a pick up driven south on Highway 21, south of County Road 11 in Iron County at 2 o'clock Saturday morning. Reports indicate Lukefahr was in the roadway when he was hit. He was flown to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. The driver of the vehicle, 19 year old Cameron J. Crane, of Pilot Knob, was not injured.
