Wednesday's Windy Area Weather

(St. Francois County, MO.) No major damage is being reported after tornado sirens were sounded last night in St. Francois County and today's weather will be very windy this morning as well. Reports indicate there was a severe storm in the French Village area. Along with a High Wind Warning and Wind Advisory until 3 pm today, forecasters with The National Weather Service say St. Francois and the surrounding counties of Washington, Jefferson, Iron, Madison, and Ste. Genevieve among others, could see wind gusts of up to 60 to 65 miles per hour this morning. There have been reports of a few trees down and a handful of power outtages in the Bonne Terre and Bismarck areas. Winds should drop back late this morning and into this afternoon. Weather officials add you should be sure any unsecured items outside are tied down and use caution while driving especially if you drive a high profile vehicle.
