Washington, D.C. (KFMO) - Drivers are continuing to see higher prices at the pump, and the latest data from AAA shows the increase is being felt nationally, across Missouri, and locally in St. Francois County.
AAA reports the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $4.08. In Missouri, the statewide average stands at $3.48 per gallon.
In St. Francois County, the average price for regular unleaded is now $3.70 per gallon, according to AAA.
The increase reflects a broader trend of rising fuel costs in recent days as oil markets respond to growing international tensions and concerns about energy supply.
While Missouri’s average remains below the national figure, local drivers are still seeing prices move upward, with St. Francois County now sitting above the statewide average.
AAA encourages motorists to shop around for the lowest prices, keep tires properly inflated, avoid rapid acceleration, and combine trips when possible to help stretch fuel dollars.
