18-Year-Old Ironton Woman Seriously Injured in Reynolds County Crash

Reynolds Co., Mo. (KFMO) - An 18-year-old woman from Ironton sustained serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Reynolds County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on June 20 along Highway K, about four miles west of Annapolis.

The patrol reports the driver was traveling eastbound in a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a tree and overturned.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered serious injuries in the crash. She was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.

The Volkswagen was totaled in the crash and was towed from the scene.
