Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Ameren Missouri is advising residents about planned vegetation management work that will be taking place in the coming months across Park Hills.
According to the utility company, crews will begin trimming and removing trees and vegetation located along and beneath transmission lines. Ameren says the maintenance is part of its ongoing efforts to improve electric reliability and reduce the risk of outages caused by overgrown vegetation.
Residents and property owners who live near transmission lines may see work crews on or near their property as the project moves forward. Company officials note that the work may take place over several months, depending on weather conditions and how quickly vegetation is growing in certain areas.
Ameren Missouri says tree trimming is a routine but important part of maintaining the power grid, especially during periods of severe weather when tree limbs and overgrowth can interfere with electric service.
Customers who have questions or concerns about the upcoming work can contact Ameren Missouri at 1-800-552-7583.
