Ameren Missouri Highlights Winter Utility Bill Assistance Programs

St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) - As the winter months settles in, Ameren Missouri is reminding customers that payment plans and energy assistance programs are available to help manage higher utility bills during the colder months.

Ameren Missouri continues to work with the United Way of Greater St. Louis, the Energy Assistance Foundation, and hundreds of community action agencies to connect customers with resources designed to help cover energy costs and keep power on. One of the key programs available in Missouri is Dollar More. The program provides eligible households with up to $600 per calendar year in utility bill assistance. Recent changes have expanded eligibility to households earning up to 300% of the Federal Poverty Level, allowing more families to qualify for help. The program is funded through voluntary customer donations.

Ameren Missouri encourages customers who may be struggling to pay their bills to explore available assistance options and contact the company or local community action agencies for guidance. Throughout 2025, Ameren and its partners made more than $140 million in energy assistance and LIHEAP support available to customers, including those served by Ameren Missouri.

Customers can find more information about assistance programs and payment options through Ameren Missouri’s website or by contacting customer service directly.
