Annual Water and Sewer Testing Fees to Appear on June Utility Bills in Farmington

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Utility customers in Farmington will notice additional charges on their June billing statements as part of an annual requirement by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

The City of Farmington is required to collect yearly fees from all water utility accounts to cover the costs associated with mandatory testing of the public water and sewer systems. These charges help ensure that the city remains in compliance with state regulations and that the water supply remains safe for public use. The additional fees will appear on June bills under the line items "Water Primacy Fee" and "Sewer Connection Fee."

Residents with questions about the charges or looking for more information on Farmington City Utilities are encouraged to visit farmingtonmo.gov or call 573-756-2620.
