Ironton, Mo. (KFMO) - Students at Arcadia Valley High School are preparing to make a difference in their community through the upcoming JAG “Pack the Bag” Food Drive.
The drive, organized by the school’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program, will take place March 23 through March 27, 2026. JAG instructor Matt Cantrell says the effort is designed to help provide food to those in need within the local community.
Donations will include a variety of non-perishable food items such as canned soup, canned pasta, canned meat, ramen noodles, Vienna sausages, macaroni and cheese, granola bars, oatmeal, and cereal.
Cantrell says the event will also bring a fun and competitive spirit, as classrooms across the district compete to collect the most donations.
In addition to food items, monetary donations will also be accepted throughout the week-long drive.
Organizers hope the event not only supports families in need but also encourages students to get involved and give back to their community.
