ATV Rider Injured in Madison County Crash Near Marquand

Madison Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 57-year-old Marquand man was injured Thursday morning in a crash involving an ATV and a pickup truck on Route M, about a half mile south of Marquand.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:39 a.m. when the man, operating a Honda ATV, failed to yield and was struck on the side by a northbound 2019 GMC Sierra.

The ATV rider, who was not wearing a safety device, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. The driver of the GMC Sierra, a 24-year-old woman from Marquand, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
