St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department has welcomed a new leader to the Detention Center. Sheriff Jeff Crites announced that Summer Bess has been named Jail Administrator, with her first official day on the job taking place Monday.
Bess comes to the department from the City of Park Hills Police Department, where she served in a variety of roles, according to Sheriff Crites.
In addition to her law enforcement service, Bess has extensive experience in budgeting, scheduling, grant writing, and policy development.
Sheriff Crites says while her presence will be missed at the Park Hills Police Department, her knowledge and expertise will be a tremendous asset to St. Francois County.
