Bismarck Mother Arrested After Four Children Test Positive for Meth Exposure

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 35-year-old Bismarck woman has been arrested after four young children in her care tested positive for illegal drug exposure.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, deputies began investigating in January 2026 after concerns were raised about the welfare of four children ranging in age from one to seven years old.

Authorities say the children were found to have been exposed to illegal narcotics while in the custody of Lacey Ann Elizabeth McNail of Bismarck. Hair exposure testing later confirmed that all four children tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.

Investigators also report that McNail tested positive for methamphetamine.

McNail has been formally charged with four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree. Bond in the case has been set at $40,000 cash or surety.

The case remains under investigation, and no further information has been released at this time.
