Body Found in Wooded Area Near Fenton; Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is Investigating

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man’s body was discovered Wednesday morning in a wooded area near the intersection of Fiedler Lane and Bridleton Woods Drive, just off Highway 141 in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton.

Deputies were called to the scene around 10:30 a.m. on July 16 after someone who knew the man found his body. Authorities say the man had not been seen since July 13, though he had not been formally reported missing. At this time, investigators say the death does not appear to be suspicious.

The man’s identity has not yet been released, and the investigation is ongoing pending autopsy results.
