Bonne Terre Police Thank Community for Fundraiser Supporting Life-Saving Equipment

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The Bonne Terre Police Department is expressing its appreciation to 10Box Cost Plus and the many community members who supported a month-long fundraiser benefiting the Bonne Terre Police and Fire Departments.

Thanks to the generosity of those who donated, the police department will use its share of the funds to purchase trauma bags for each patrol vehicle.

Officials say the trauma bags are far more advanced than standard first aid kits. They are equipped with life-saving medical supplies that allow officers to provide immediate emergency care while waiting for emergency medical personnel to arrive.

The equipment will help officers respond more effectively to serious traffic crashes, traumatic injuries, and other medical emergencies by controlling severe bleeding, stabilizing patients, and delivering critical care during the crucial first moments of an incident.

The department noted that those first few minutes following a traumatic injury can often mean the difference between life and death, making the new trauma bags an important investment in public safety.

Bonne Terre Police thanked 10Box Cost Plus for organizing the fundraiser and expressed gratitude to everyone in the community who contributed, saying the support will directly help officers better serve and protect residents during emergencies.
