Cadet Man Seriously Injured After Jumping from Moving Vehicle on MO-47

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 42-year-old man from Cadet, suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon after jumping out of a moving vehicle on northbound Missouri Route 47.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just north of Robart Road in Washington County around 3:39 p.m. The man was a passenger in a 1996 Ford F-150 driven by a 49-year-old male, also from Cadet. Authorities say the passenger exited the vehicle while it was still in motion. He was not wearing a safety device and was transported to Mercy Hospital South by the Washington County Ambulance District.

The vehicle sustained no damage and was driven from the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
