Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says three individuals are facing felony charges following two separate shooting investigations in the Cadet area this spring.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies and detectives have seen an increase in firearm-related incidents throughout Washington County since the beginning of the spring season, including a rise in cases involving shots being fired.
The first incident occurred on April 12, 2026. Following the investigation, authorities arrested Zander Crocker with assistance from the Potosi Police Department.
Investigators allege Crocker fired shots into an occupied vehicle. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, four counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and second-degree property damage. Bond in the case was set at $250,000 cash only.
A second shooting incident happened on May 6, 2026. Authorities say brothers Joshua Rath and Samuel Rath were taken into custody after allegedly shooting at or near an occupied vehicle.
Samuel Rath has been charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, third-degree domestic assault, and first-degree property damage. His bond was set at $100,000 cash only.
Joshua Rath has been charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and first-degree property damage. Bond in his case was also set at $100,000 cash only.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says it continues investigating firearm-related incidents across the county as deputies respond to a growing number of shooting calls.
