Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Farmington community is mourning the loss of Dr. Jon Cozean, a respected funeral director, historian, and lifelong advocate for the city. Dr. Cozean passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, at the age of 87.
Known for his decades of service through the Cozean Memorial Chapel, Dr. Cozean was a familiar and trusted figure to many families during some of their most difficult moments. Beyond his work in funeral service, he was an accomplished historian and writer, dedicating much of his life to preserving the stories and heritage of Farmington and the surrounding region.
His contributions extended far into civic life, where he was recognized as a thoughtful leader committed to the growth and well-being of the community he loved.
