Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The 48th Annual Country Days celebration is set to begin Friday in Farmington, bringing a weekend filled with family-friendly entertainment, food, shopping, and community activities.
Hosted by the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce, the annual festival officially kicks off Friday morning with the traditional Prayer Breakfast at Long Memorial Hall.
Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Candy Hente says local businesses will be having different events throughout the day. She says the Nicholson Heating and Air Parade will step off at 6 p.m. Friday evening.
Country Days has become one of the largest annual events in the Parkland region, attracting residents and visitors from across southeast Missouri. In addition to the parade, attendees can enjoy a wide selection of craft vendors, food vendors, live entertainment, and the carnival midway throughout the weekend.
Organizers say the event continues to serve as a celebration of the Farmington community while providing opportunities for local businesses, organizations, and artisans to showcase what they have to offer.
Country Days activities will continue throughout the weekend in downtown Farmington.
