De Soto Man Jailed After Alleged Arnold Home Burglary and Stolen Vehicle Crash

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A De Soto man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he broke into an Arnold home while the residents were asleep and later crashed a stolen vehicle.

Authorities say Garret Flynn of De Soto has been charged with First-Degree Burglary, Attempted First-Degree Burglary, and Stealing a Motor Vehicle.

According to investigators, Flynn allegedly entered a residence in the 3200 block of Meadowfield Drive in Arnold during the early morning hours while the homeowners were inside sleeping.

While inside the home, Flynn is accused of stealing several items, including the keys to the resident’s vehicle. Authorities say he then allegedly drove away in that vehicle but crashed it only a few minutes later.

During the investigation, detectives also determined Flynn allegedly attempted to force his way into a second nearby home before the incident.

Flynn was arrested and is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $100,000 bond as the case moves forward through the court system.
