Deputy Bruce Momot Retiring After 30 Years with St. Francois County Sheriff's Department

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - After serving the citizens of St. Francois County for three decades, Deputy Bruce Momot will officially retire from the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

Deputy Momot's law enforcement career began in 1990 as a dispatcher with the Flat River Police Department. On May 1, 1993, he transitioned to the newly formed St. Francois County 911 following the agency's merger, continuing his commitment to public safety.

Later that same year, Momot became a patrolman with the Bonne Terre Police Department, where he served until 1994. He then joined the Desloge Police Department as a patrolman before accepting a position with the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department on May 15, 1996.

Over the past 30 years, Deputy Momot has served the residents of St. Francois County with professionalism, integrity, and dedication. His career reflects more than 35 years in law enforcement, with experience in dispatching, patrol, and county law enforcement.

The St. Francois County Sheriff's Department recognized Deputy Momot for his unwavering commitment to public service and thanked him for his decades of service to the community.

Deputy Bruce Momot's retirement becomes effective July 2, marking the conclusion of a distinguished career devoted to protecting and serving the people of St. Francois County.
