Desloge Chamber Honors Community Leaders at “Cheers to Our Champions” Banquet

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - The Desloge Chamber of Commerce celebrated community service and leadership during its annual “Cheers to Our Champions” awards banquet Thursday night.

Among the top honors, the Mineral Area Elks received the AM1240 KFMO/B104 Super Service Award, recognizing their continued commitment to helping others throughout the Parkland. Member Louie Seiberlich called the recognition an honor during the ceremony.

Several individual awards were also presented. Susan Dix received the City of Desloge Public Service Award for her contributions to the community. Desloge City Clerk Judy Hutchison was honored with the Daily Journal Citizen of the Year Award for her dedication and service.

Joni Bannister was presented the KREI/KTJJ 110% Award, while Bob Monks received the St. Francois County Service Above Self Award, highlighting his commitment to going above and beyond for the community.

In addition, multiple individuals were recognized with the Chamber’s “Cheers to Our Champions” award. Honorees included Keith Propst, Eric Herzog, Glenda Straughn, Ashley Harrison, Andy White, and Amy and Jason Welker.

Members of the Mineral Area Elks were also recognized in that category, including Steve Harris, David Hulsey, Dicky Hulsey, Louie Seiberlich, and Wayne Schrum, for their assistance in marking spots during last year’s Desloge Labor Day Picnic.

The annual banquet highlights the importance of volunteerism and community involvement across Desloge and the surrounding area.
