Desloge Woman Killed in Crash on Highway 32 in St. Francois County

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Desloge woman was killed late Tuesday morning in a head-on crash on Missouri Highway 32 east of Industrial Drive in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 11:13 a.m. when a 2014 Kia Forte driven by a 26-year-old woman from Desloge swerved left across the continuous turn lane. A 78-year-old man from Farmington, driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, saw the oncoming vehicle in his lane and attempted to avoid the collision by moving left. The Kia then swerved back to the right, directly into the path of the truck. The Desloge woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Francois County Coroner at 11:45 a.m.

The Farmington man suffered minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center South for treatment. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
