Dr. Brett Dickinson Discusses Holistic Healthcare at Desloge Chamber Luncheon

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - Dr. Brett Dickinson of Better Health Family Medicine in Desloge was the featured speaker at this month’s Desloge Chamber of Commerce luncheon, where he addressed local business leaders and community members on the topic of holistic healthcare and patient expectations.

Dickinson’s presentation focused on the question of whether expectations surrounding holistic and alternative medicine are realistic in today’s healthcare environment. He explained how modern medicine and alternative approaches differ in philosophy, treatment methods, and patient care goals, while also discussing how both can play a role in overall wellness depending on individual needs.

Attendees heard Dickinson break down how traditional medical practices emphasize evidence-based treatments and diagnostics, while holistic and alternative methods often focus on whole-body wellness, prevention, and complementary care.

Following the luncheon presentation, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held at Dr. Dickinson’s office on Lincoln Street, celebrating his practice and continued service to the Desloge community. Chamber members and local officials attended the event in support.
