Driver Extricated After Dump Truck Overturns on Highway T

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A driver had to be rescued after a dump truck overturned Monday morning on Highway T, leaving the vehicle heavily damaged and the driver trapped inside.

According to emergency responders, crews arrived on the scene and found a dump truck carrying lime overturned off the roadway on its side. Crews reported significant damage to the vehicle along with entrapment of the driver.

Due to the complexity of the rescue and the time of day, additional manpower was requested. Firefighters immediately began extrication efforts to free the trapped driver.

Additional responders arrived and assisted with the operation, and the driver was successfully extricated from the wreckage in approximately 45 minutes.
