Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has released its latest weekly report on beach conditions across state parks in Missouri, including updated water quality testing results for the week of June 5, 2026.
Officials report that swimming is not recommended at St. Joe State Park’s Pim Lake, located near Park Hills, after tests detected elevated levels of E. coli bacteria. The advisory is part of routine monitoring designed to protect public health when water quality falls below safe recreational standards.
At the same time, the report indicates that swimming remains open at St. Joe State Park’s Monsanto Lake, also located along Pimville Road in Park Hills. No advisory has been issued for that location.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources continues to monitor conditions at public beaches throughout the state, noting that water quality can change rapidly due to rainfall, runoff, and other environmental factors.
Visitors are encouraged to check the latest updates before visiting any state park swimming area.
State officials say advisories are temporary and will be lifted once water quality returns to safe levels.
