Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - East Missouri Action Agency is encouraging residents to make their voices heard by participating in an upcoming Community Listening Session in St. Francois County.
While EMAA's Community Needs Assessment survey has concluded, the agency says there is still an opportunity for community members to provide valuable feedback through a series of listening sessions being held throughout its service area.
The sessions are designed to gather information about local needs, challenges, strengths, and opportunities. EMAA officials say the feedback will help shape future programs and services that support families and communities across the region.
The St. Francois County session is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, at 3 p.m. at the Desloge Outreach Center, located at 903 East Chestnut Street in Desloge.
EMAA says the one-hour sessions are open to both current and former customers, as well as community members who simply want to help improve their communities. Participants will receive a $25 gift card as a thank-you for their time and input.
Agency officials say community feedback plays a critical role in future planning and helps ensure local voices remain at the center of the organization's work.
Space is limited, with only 10 to 15 spots available for each session.
Those interested in attending can register by emailing nhahn@eastmoaa.org or abeard@eastmoaa.org.
EMAA says the goal of the listening sessions is to identify community needs, celebrate local strengths, and help build stronger communities throughout the region.
