Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Farmington will hold its annual Spring Cleanup Week April 6 - April 9, 2026, giving residents the opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items.
City crews will begin collection at 7:30 a.m. each day. Residents are asked to have all items placed at the curb no later than 7:30 a.m. on their designated ward pickup day. Items should not be placed in alleys. If crews are unable to complete a ward in one day, they will return the following day to finish. Officials remind residents there will be no callbacks.
The Spring Cleanup schedule is as follows:
- Ward One – Monday, April 6
- Ward Two – Tuesday, April 7
- Ward Three – Wednesday, April 8
- Ward Four – Thursday, April 9
There are several prohibited items. The city will not collect items normally handled by regular trash service such as trash bags, cardboard boxes, or items inside garbage cans. Leaves, limbs, brush, lumber, shingles, siding, and construction waste products will not be accepted. Liquids and hazardous materials are also prohibited. Crews will not pick up items larger than two people can handle. Appliances must have compressors removed before being placed at the curb.
Tires may be taken to the Street Department at 210 Industrial Drive on Friday, April 10, for a fee of four dollars per tire, whether mounted on a wheel or not. Only passenger car and light truck tires will be accepted.
Tree limbs and yard waste may be taken to the Yard Waste Site at 3875 Pimville Road in Farmington daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is no fee for Farmington residents to use the site.
Residents are encouraged to verify their ward and prepare items ahead of their designated pickup date.
