Farmington Invites Community to Celebrate Independence Day at Engler Park

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Families across the Parkland are invited to celebrate Independence Day with an evening of entertainment, food and fireworks during the Fourth of July celebration at Engler Park in Farmington.

The event is presented by the Farmington Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Discover Farmington Missouri and will feature activities throughout the evening before one of the area's largest fireworks displays.

Live music by Earcandy begins at 6 p.m. at the Hampton Pavilion, located near the Play it Forward in the Parkland Playground. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of food vendors beginning at 6 p.m., including Luna's Shaved Ice, Belle on Wheels, and Grandma's Sugar Shack.

With hot summer temperatures expected, Koppeis Heating & Cooling will have a cooling tent set up next to the tennis courts where visitors can cool off throughout the evening.

The highlight of the celebration will be the community fireworks display, scheduled to begin at dusk, approximately 9:15 p.m.

Those attending are encouraged to arrive early. Viewing areas include the Ragsdale Baseball Field parking lot, Hager Tennis Courts parking lot, the soccer fields, Giessing Lake parking lot and roadside parking along Airpark Drive.

The celebration will take place at Engler Park, 1400 Airpark Drive in Farmington, offering families a festive way to celebrate Independence Day with music, food and fireworks.
